Every performer has a unique voice. Sometimes they just need a place to discover it.
Finding Your Spotlight is a non-performance theatre workshop for students who want to build confidence, explore their creativity, and develop foundational acting skills in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. There are no auditions, no casting, and no final show. Instead, students spend eight weeks learning through improvisation, theatre games, storytelling, movement, and ensemble activities while developing the confidence to express themselves both on and off the stage.
At Playact, we believe theatre isn't about pretending to be someone else. It's about discovering how stories help us better understand ourselves and each other. By stepping into different characters and perspectives, students strengthen communication, empathy, collaboration, and creative problem-solving while growing into confident storytellers.
This class is perfect for students who are interested in theatre but aren't ready for a production, those preparing for future auditions and performances, or anyone looking for a creative space to build confidence, make friends, and try something new.

No previous theatre experience is required. Whether your student dreams of performing on Broadway or simply wants to become a more confident communicator, Finding Your Spotlight provides a supportive place to grow, create, and discover their unique voice.

Early Bird Discount
Register by August 1 and receive $20 off tuition.
Sibling Discount
Receive $20 off the second child’s registration when enrolling multiple students from the same family, regardless of class selection.
Discount Details
- Discounts apply to the final payment (not the initial deposit)
- Only one discount type may be applied per registration
- Discounts are not applied retroactively

When a new family you refer registers for a semester class, you'll receive a $20 Playact Tuition Credit to use toward a future class or camp (must be used within 6 months).
There is no limit to the number of referral credits you can earn.
Scholarships & Financial Assistance
At Playact, we believe every student should have the opportunity to experience the performing arts. Partial scholarships and financial assistance are available for qualifying families. To be considered, interested applicants must complete our scholarship application. We encourage families to apply HERE if cost would otherwise prevent participation.

- Tuition is non-refundable
- Full attendance and participation in performances is expected
- Classes must meet minimum enrollment to run
