International Thespian Society Theatre Troupe (2025-2026)

We have chartered a troupe in the International Thespian Society via the Educational Theatre Association. This elite troupe is open to any student who has participated in at least two Youth Company productions. Participants will be officially inducted into the troupe and will earn credit toward joining the prestigious International Thespian Society. The recognition students gain through induction into the International Thespian Society signals to colleges and employers their leadership, service, and extracurricular achievements. It gives theatre students the same validation common for sports or academic success. Participants will have various opportunities to participate in events sponsored by EdTA such as Thespian festivals. These festivals provide students with unparalleled learning, recognition, and engagement ― at both the chapter and international levels. Regional and national events offer Thespians a chance to compete for thousands of scholarship dollars, earn commendation through the International Thespian Excellence Awards (Thespys®), and audition for hundreds of college theatre programs. There are two levels of membership: Thespian (grades 9-12) – induction fee of $35 Junior Thespian (grades 6-8) – induction fee of $17 (will need to be re-inducted as Thespian in 9th grade) Thespian Membership Includes: Lifetime membership in ITS for every student inducted. Official membership pin, card, and certificate. Access to Thespian programs, events, scholarships, and resources. Exclusive Thespian interviews for college admission and scholarships, School, chapter, and international leadership opportunities. Participation in the Thespy® Awards, the highest level of achievement in school theatre. Dramatics magazine and Dramatics.org, the only publications edited exclusively for theatre students and teachers. Additional Information about EdTA for students can be found HERE.
