Youth Company- Annie Jr
Show: Annie Jr
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
Class description
Youth Company is a structured, performance-based musical theatre training program for students who are ready to dig deeper into the craft. Through the rehearsal process of Annie Jr., actors build confidence, character development skills, vocal strength, and stage presence while working as a true ensemble.
This is not a drop-in camp. It is an intentional rehearsal process.
Students train weekly with experienced theatre professionals who guide them through blocking, choreography, vocal work, and storytelling using an authorized, age-appropriate script and score. Every actor is challenged at their individual level while learning how to collaborate, take direction, and rise to a shared artistic standard.
The season culminates in two fully produced, ticketed public performances featuring professional lighting, sound, and costuming. Our focus is growth, discipline, and pride in polished performance, giving young artists the opportunity to experience what a real rehearsal process feels like from first read-through to final curtain.
