K Pop Demon Hunters:
The Show Choir Experience

Show Choir Camp is back, and this year we’re taking on a K Pop Demon Hunters-inspired theme through the lens of high-energy show choir. This camp is all about singing and dancing at the same time, building stamina, precision, and confidence while performing as a unified ensemble. Campers will train like a true show choir, learning how to deliver strong vocals while executing dynamic choreography. With our expanded program, we’re able to welcome more performers into this experience while still maintaining the high expectations and quality that define Playact training.

What campers will focus on:

Group vocal technique and blending
Singing while dancing with control and consistency
Rhythm, timing, and musical precision
Choreography rooted in show choir and contemporary styles
Facial expression and performance energy
Ensemble awareness and synchronization
Stage presence and confidence under pressure

The camp wraps up with a showcase performance featuring K Pop Demon Hunters-inspired numbers, giving campers the chance to perform as a polished, high-impact show choir.

Class Details

Grades: Rising 5th - 10th Graders

Rehearsal Dates: June 29-July 2: 9:30-12:30 PM

Performance: July 2: 1:00 PM

Cost: Register by May 10th: $170 (Founding Summer Rate Discount) - After May 10th: $190

Payment Schedule: 50% due at registration and 50% due 1st day of camp

Multi-Camp Discount (Per Student)

Enroll in more than one camp and receive $20 off each additional camp for the same student.

Sibling Discount

Receive $20 off the second child’s registration when enrolling multiple students from the same family, regardless of camp selection.

Tuition Payment Schedule

Remaining balance due on the first day of camp

Keri Castro is the President and Co-Founder of Playact Theatre and has spent more than a decade creating meaningful performance and training opportunities for young artists across Northwest Indiana. An Actors’ Equity Association member and theatre director, Keri holds a Master’s degree in Theatre Directing and brings both professional experience and a strong educational foundation to her work with all performers.

Keri has directed numerous productions for both Playact Theatre and Valparaiso University, including Hadestown: Teen Edition, Shrek: The Musical, and Tuck Everlasting: Theatre for Young Audiences. Her rehearsal process emphasizes ensemble storytelling, thoughtful character work, and helping students build confidence while developing strong artistic discipline.

In addition to directing, Keri is passionate about creating a supportive creative community where young performers can grow not only in their craft, but also in leadership, collaboration, and confidence both on and off the stage.
